If you want to see heaven on earth you must go to SWITZERLAND . It  is a small landlocked, one of the most beautiful country of the world.
There are many high peaks and one of the famous peak is MATTERHORN. Matte means "meadow" and Horn means "peak". It is mountain in the Pennine Alps. It is one of the highest peaks in the Alps 4478m high. It lies on the border of switzerland and Italy. To visit Matterhorn you have to go to a village called ZERMATT. It is at the foothill of Matterhorn,in the southern Switzerland located 10Km from Italian border.the nearest airport ZURICH 248Kms and GENEVA 244Kms.I flew to Geneva from Frankfurt in Germany and travelled by train to Zermatt. It took roughly 3 hours. From Zurich it takes around same time by train.
Zermatt is renowned as one of the best ski resorts. I went up the smaller mountain near Matterhorn by cog railways and had a breathtaking view of Matterhorn. The unique features of these peaks are they are very pointed. To me it resembeled the horn of a Rhino.
